    As noted in selected course descriptions, some courses will be taught entirely online. Students may be expected or required to use the Internet and the College's Internet-based, Kodiak, course delivery program. Registered students may access the Internet from computers located on the main campus in Springfield or from their own personal computers.

    The comment, "Online w/Kodiak", means a student does not have to physically attend classes on campus. The course instruction is delivered 100% via the Internet.

    	HVAC Design - This graduate 500 level course is offered to engineering graduate students & 5yr/BS/MS students, as well as, other students by permission of instructor.  This course is a study of HVAC design, and applicable building/mechanical codes, and best practices and is intended for engineers having HVAC design, "green energy" interests, or responsibilities for the operation of commercial buildings and industrial facilities.   This course will serve to prepare engineering students for today's HVAC job markets and the use of best available technologies to improve system performance and to reduce operation costs.  The means of assessing students include:  homework assignments, in-class exams, a special assignment, and a comprehensive final exam.   The course will also include "hands on" tours of on-campus HVAC mechanical systems, HVAC energy management systems, HVAC diagnostic instruments, and laboratory apparatus. Students will be introduced to ASHRAE (The American Society of Heating Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers)
