  • 500-level courses may be taken by First Professional Year learners

  • 600-level courses may be taken by Second Professional Year learners

  • 700-level courses may be taken by Third Professional Year learners

  • 800-level courses may be taken by Fourth Professional Year learners

Students may be expected or required to use the Internet and the College's Internet-based course delivery program. Registered students may access the Internet from computers located on the main campus in Springfield or from their own personal computers.
The comment, "Taught on-line", means a student does not have to physically attend classes on campus. The course instruction is delivered 100% via the Internet.

	ST: Ambulatory Care Pharmacy - In this case-based elective, learners will enhance their therapeutic knowledge of general ambulatory care conditions in order to effectively manage and educate patients in the ambulatory care setting. Throughout the course, learners will develop patient-specific recommendations and monitoring plans utilizing evidence-based medicine. 	ST: Herbal Medicine and Functional Foods - Learners will acquire an understanding of pharmacognosy, the study of natural medicines and functional foods, investigating the relationship between traditional medicine systems and Western medicine today. Hands-on learning activities incorporate plant identification and botany, an exploration of supplement and drug development, and collaboration with peers. Other topics will include basic phytochemistry, ethnobotany, the role of cannabis in pharmacotherapy, and controversial topics surrounding the use of supplements in healthcare.
