FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS CELEBRATION RINGS IN HOLIDAY SEASON AT WESTERN NEW ENGLAND COLLEGE
SPRINGFIELD, MA Western New England College will host its annual Festival of Lights celebration on Tuesday, December 3 from 4:45 to 6:00 p.m. in the Campus Center mall area. The event is free and open to the public.
Presented by Student Senate and Campus Ministry, the program will include musical selections by the Campus Chorus and an overview of the upcoming holiday traditions of Chanukah, Kwanza, Advent/Christmas, and the Feast of the Three Kings. Immediately following the Mall program will be the lighting of the Unity Candle and the "official" lighting of the Christmas trees at the Gazebo area by Dr. Anthony Caprio, College president.
The Campus Chorus' musical selections will include "Meda Wawa Ase," "Jazz Carol of the Bells," "S'vivon," and "Riu, Riu, Chiu." Free and open to the public.
Western New England College is a private, independent, coeducational institution founded in 1919.
