They have 5 half-time literacy tutor positions and 3 half-time academic support positions available. You must complete a total of 900 hours (approximately 20 hours per week) from September 2013 to June 20, 2014. Tutors are required to provide 20-23 hours of literacy instruction per week at their assigned pre-k site from September - June; attend AmeriCorps orientation; attend monthly literacy trainings; attend the AmeriCorps midyear training; attend member development events; complete two service projects; participate in Opening Day, the annual kick-off of the AmeriCorps service year; submit weekly journal entries.
